Sunday's yours to make — Toronto, May 31.

Good morning. Sunday's landed solid — 24°C, partly cloudy, and you've got a full 15 hours of daylight ahead. That said, UV's sitting at 8, which is high, so grab sunscreen before you head out. Light holds till 8:51 PM, so you can plan an evening without the sun cutting you short.

If you're driving anywhere on the 401, give yourself extra time this morning. There's been a collision westbound at the 427, another at Renforth (three left lanes closed), and a lengthy closure expected westbound following a crash in Pickering. William R Allen Road is also closed northbound beyond Lawrence. It's a bit of a mess out there, so check conditions before you leave and consider the surface streets if you can.

Worth knowing: Hanlan's Point Beach is facing critical erosion, and advocates are pushing for action on it. Main Street in Unionville officially reopened this week after a $14.8M restoration, so if you're heading that way, it's worth a look. Early this morning there was a fatal pedestrian crash on Eglinton — stay safe out there.

Weather like this calls for a patio if you can swing it. The viral dot cake trend has landed in Toronto bakeries this week, so if you're into that ting, now's the time to grab one. Isabella's Donuts is running a Bruno Mars–themed Halo Halo limited edition if that's your speed. Tim Hortons brought back their grilled cheese, though apparently the cheese isn't cooperating — fair warning. Roman Suppli's launching a pop-up on Dundas West in June if you're already thinking ahead.

Evening-wise, there's plenty on. Martin Garrix is playing the RBC Amphitheatre at 6:00 PM if live music is calling your name — outdoor show on a night like this, so perfect timing. Dog Man — The Musical's running at the CAA Theatre at 5:00 PM if theatre's more your thing. There are also dance recitals happening around the city if that's what you're after. Casa Loma's open for general admission from 9:30 AM if you want to lean into the daytime and make a full day of it.

Enjoy your Sunday. Get some sun, grab sunscreen, and check that 401 before you head out.
