Sunday's warm, Tame Impala's headlining, and the sun stays late.

It's 18 and partly cloudy this morning — a real step up from the last few days. UV's sitting at 8 (high), so if you're spending the day outside, sunscreen's your friend. The sun doesn't dip until 8:47 tonight, so you've got nearly fifteen hours of daylight to play with. Perfect for a long Sunday.

If you're heading east on the 401, keep an eye out for a couple of disabled vehicles creating slowdowns — one at the collector near Victoria Park, another on the express at Bayview. Nothing major, but worth a heads-up if you're timing it tight. The Gardiner eastbound from the Humber to the DVP is also moving slower than usual. Nothing that should derail your day, but give yourself a bit of buffer if you're heading that way.

Few things worth knowing: the feds have nixed Doug Ford's plan to expand Billy Bishop, which was going to be a $1-billion complex with an indoor theme park attached. That's a significant one for the city's development pipeline. Also worth noting — there's pressure building around Toronto's coyote situation. A Trent biologist is making the case that the city needs tougher removal tactics, not just hazing. If you've been hearing them around your neighbourhood, that's why the conversation's heating up.

For eating, there's some solid stuff happening in the next few days. If you're hungry today, keep an eye on what's coming: Bastid's BBQ just opened here in T.O., and there's a new spot called Larb Muang bringing authentic Northern Thai to the city. Bar Butcher's also opened on Bay Street with proper steakhouse food that won't wreck your wallet — it's in the old Miller Tavern spot.

Tonight's where it gets fun. Tame Impala with Djo is headlining Scotiabank Arena at 7 — that's the big one if you're into that world. If live music's your thing but you want something different, Dirty Heads and 311 are at the RBC Amphitheatre at 5:30, or Cirque du Soleil's Luzia is running under the big top with evening shows at 5. The weather holds warm enough for outdoor shows, so pick your vibe and go. There's also a double-header hoops championship happening at the Pan Am Sports Centre at 4 if you're keen on that.

If you're not doing the evening thing, Casa Loma's got daytime garden tours running all morning, and there's still time to catch Cirque's afternoon show at 1.

Get out there. It's a good day.
