Sunday's sweet spot: Sports, shows, and 19 degrees holding tight.

Morning. It's a proper Sunday—mostly cloudy, 19°C, and that UV's sitting at 7 (high), so sunscreen if you're heading outside for any length of time. You've got nearly 14 hours of daylight to work with, and the weather's not pushing you indoors, which means the city's yours to roam.

Road-wise, keep an eye on the DVP north beyond Lawrence if you're heading that way—disabled vehicle's got things tight. There's also a disabled truck on the 401 eastbound express at Victoria Park with a right lane closed, and out in Mississauga on the QEW Fort Erie bound at Dixie, same story. Nothing that should wreck your Sunday plans unless you're heading to the airport or the GTA early, but worth knowing.

On the local front: Vlad Jr.'s been placed on the injured list after taking a hit at third—concussion precaution. Not ideal for the Jays, but the team stayed solid yesterday, edging the Yankees 4-1 with McAdoo driving in a pair. Speaking of which, there's a rematch at Rogers Centre at 1:37 PM today if you want to catch the follow-up. The Honda Indy down in Markham restarted yesterday after a Friday safety hold, and Louis Foster grabbed pole position for the inaugural Ontario Honda Dealers event. Racing's back on.

If you're thinking about food, there's a whole pile of new patios popping up across T.O. before summer checks out—worth a scoop if you haven't hit them yet. And if you're hungry for something specific, Alex Marcus has been doing some interesting things with Toronto-style soft pretzels, blending Philly tradition with local flavours. Also: Brick Room café on Bay reopened after a break-in, and the community showed up for them. That's worth supporting.

Tonally, tonight's got range. Kehlani's headlining the RBC Amphitheatre at 6:30 if you want to catch live music outdoors—that sunset at 8:20 will be beautiful for it. If you're feeling acrobatics and spectacle instead, Cirque du Soleil's Luzia is under the big top at 5:00 PM. Dean Johnson's at Drake Underground at 6:00 if you want something smaller and close. Pick your energy and roll with it.

Enjoy the day. Sun's your friend until the evening—use it.
