Monday mist, highway chaos, and live music to shake off the week

Commute heads-up: avoid the 427 southbound if you can swing it. There's a collision at Rexdale and Derry that's got the HOV completely shut down and two left lanes closed — that's going to back things up hard. The 400 northbound at Langstaff is also clogged with a right lane down from a collision. If you're heading east across town, the 131 Nugget bus is detoured via Malvern, Sheppard, and Washburn — plan for delays. Queen's Park is also closed between Queen's Park Crescent East and about 27 metres west of the crescent, so work around that if you're heading through there.

The news this morning: there's an active investigation after a stabbing at the Toronto waterfront in what's being looked at as a hate-motivated attack. A man's wanted. Keep your head up in that area. On a lighter note, Alejandro Kirk's stolen base sparked the Blue Jays to a comeback win against Seattle yesterday — that's the kind of spark the boys needed heading into the stretch. The Argos, though, took a loss to Saskatchewan on the weekend, 28-24, in front of a sold-out crowd in Regina.
