Thursday morning: 10 degrees, Line 1's back on track, live music tonight.

Morning, T.O. It's a proper autumn Thursday—10 degrees, mostly cloudy, UV sitting at 3, so you won't need the heavy sunscreen but don't skip it entirely. Sunset's at 6:35, which means if you're planning anything outdoors after work, you've got a decent window before dark closes in.

On the transit front, good news: Line 1 service is back to normal between Vaughan and Finch West stations, and the northbound service at Lawrence West is running again too. Don Valley Parkway's still dealing with closures north of Dundas, and Scarlett Rd at Richview is blocked, so if you're heading that way this morning, give yourself a few extra minutes or take an alternate route. Nothing surprising for a Thursday, but worth knowing before you head out.

Locally, couple things on the radar. Police charged a man in connection with a Scarborough school assault—he'd been posing as a student to get access. Worth knowing if you've got kids in the area. There's also been an arrest made in a hate-motivated assault on the Danforth, so that's one that's been moving. On a lighter note, Olivia Chow's putting out the word that she's committed to protecting Toronto Public Library from budget cuts heading into the election—if the library matters to you, that's worth keeping in your back pocket.

Food-wise, if you're looking to try something new, Bodega TinTin just opened on St. Clair West with Venezuelan-Spanish cocktails and tapas—solid move for a weeknight dinner. And if you're thinking Thanksgiving weekend, there's free food happening across the city: turkeys, pies, vegan roasts. Worth scoping out if you're looking to stretch the food budget. Fair warning though—Wild Fork, the U.S. luxury meat spot, is shutting down all Canadian operations, so if you've been meaning to check it out, time's running short.

Tonight's got some solid live music going if that's your thing. Carly Pearce is at the Opera House, moondoggy's at the Mod Club, and if you're more into rock, there's Pain Of Truth with Locked Shut and Killing Pace at East End United. All kicking off at 7:00 PM, so you've got the evening to plan around.

Stay warm out there, and enjoy the night when it comes.
