Cold snap Wednesday—live music, Raps at home tonight

Morning. We've dipped properly into fall now—4°C and clear, so that jacket's not optional today. You're looking at almost 11 hours of daylight, but the sun's down by 6:25, so plan your evening around that if you're heading out.

If you're on Carlaw, fair warning: there's milling work on the asphalt around there, so give yourself a bit extra time. The 501 Queen's back to normal eastbound—that's sorted now—but keep an eye on Galloway Rd from Waldock to Dearham Wood if that's your route.

Online scams are hitting hard right now. Fake AI images of Jagmeet Singh are circulating to bait people into investment schemes, so if something feels off in your feed, it probably is. Worth the heads-up.

Lunch-wise, Tapow's Malaysian Hokkien Mee is finally back on Parkdale—they've been gone two years, so if you've been missing it, it's living on Bar Dystopia's patio now. If you're craving something new, Toronto's got a fresh Turkish bakery doing a grand opening with $3 treats, and Prince Street Pizza is opening a second spot up at Yonge and Eglinton. Miracle's Christmas Bar is coming back in November too, if you're already thinking ahead.

Tonight's the night the Raps are home. Chicago Bulls are rolling into Scotiabank Arena at 7:30 PM—could be a good one. If live music's more your speed, Rebecca Black with BAYLI is at the Danforth Music Hall at 7, Holywatr's at the Mod Club, and Reuben and the Dark are at Longboat Hall. For something darker, Legends of Horror is running at Casa Loma if you want to lean into the season.

If you've got daylight hours to kill before the sun disappears, Hell's Kitchen is playing at the Ed Mirvish at 1:30, or the Karate Kid musical if you're feeling that. Casa Loma's open general admission from 9:30 AM too.

Stay warm out there. It's a good night to be inside, but the city's got plenty going on.
