Megan Falley is carrying forward the legacy of her late spouse, poet Andrea Gibson, through a multimedia tour that weaves Gibson's work with film, orchestral accompaniment, and intimate storytelling about their relationship.

Andrea Gibson: Love Letter from the Afterlife had its sold-out world premiere at Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre in July 2026, seven months after Gibson's death in 2025. The production brings together Gibson's poetry, live musicians, and Falley's own voice threading the performances — sharing stories about their collaboration and the moments that connected Gibson with audiences in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

For Falley, a poet, writer and performer in her own right, the tour is both a tribute and a way to reach people who never saw Gibson perform. "I thought that I would be halved by this loss, and instead I feel doubled by this loss," Falley told Queer & Now. "I feel like I get to carry Andrea inside of me. I feel like I get to live for both of us."

Beyond the stage, Falley continues Gibson's Things That Don't Suck Substack, which reaches more than 200,000 readers with reflections on love, loss and meaning. She's also involved in a documentary, Come See Me in the Good Light. Falley and Gibson first met through poetry events, remained friends for years, and found their relationship turning romantic in 2014 at the National Poetry Slam in Oakland, California. Gibson was known for works including Lord of the Butterflies (2018) and You Better Be Lighting (2021).
