Toronto is hosting the country's first large-scale drag-focused expo this week, kicking off Pride Month with performances, runway shows, DJ sets, and fan experiences that celebrate drag talent and support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. The Fierce and Fabulous Expo takes place June 6 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. VIP access to queens for early meet-and-greets starts at 9 a.m., with drag performances and DJ sets kicking off at 11 a.m. Tickets start around $37. The lineup features some of Canada's most celebrated drag performers: Van Goth (winner of Canada's Drag Race), Dahlia Doll, Perla, Oceane Aqua-Black, Tynomi Banks, Discord, Lady Nova, Gisele Lullaby, and Makayla Couture. The event is organized by local artist Velvet Code in support of the You Do You Foundation, which supports 2SLGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC artists facing mental health challenges, addiction, homelessness, and financial barriers, offering mentorship and professional development. It's a celebration of all things drag — the artistry, the community, the visibility — wrapped into one day designed to be impossible to miss as Pride month begins.
