Pride Month arrives with parties, markets, and 45 years of celebration

Toronto marks the 45th anniversary of Pride with pool parties, drag shows, queer markets, and the iconic parade across Church-Wellesley Village.

Pride Month has officially begun in Toronto, marking the 45th anniversary of Pride in the city. The celebrations span weeks of parties, performances, and events leading up to the iconic parade honouring the 2SLGBTQ+ community, with Church-Wellesley Village set to buzz with energy.

Party highlights include Cabana Pool Bar's Mykonos-themed Pride Pool Party on June 18 from 6 p.m. to midnight, featuring RuPaul's Drag Race Season 18 stars Juicy Love Dion and Athena Dion alongside DJs and performers. Wiggle Room's 8th Annual Wiggly's Pride Party runs June 27 from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., offering a marathon rager with performances and entertainers. Village Fest transforms Church-Wellesley Village into a queer celebration hub from June 19-21, nightly from 8 p.m. to midnight, with DJ sets and drag shows.

For those seeking to support local queer artists and makers, Glad Day Lit's Pride Month Artist Market spotlights over 60 local vendors on June 6 and 13 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 32 Lisgar St., with free admission. BACKYARD: Pride Celebration takes place at STACKT Market on June 6 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., combining vendors, drag performances, and a high-energy dance party. St. Lawrence Market Pride, running on Market Street, features local vendors, workshops, music, and food, with breakout Canada's Drag Race star BOA performing live.
