A brand-new music festival is debuting this Labour Day weekend in Markham. Urbanova Music Festival will take over the Markham Fairgrounds on Sept. 5 and 6, bringing hip-hop, rap, and dancehall artists to York Region.

The all-ages festival, produced by Steelbull Entertainment in partnership with Skyz The Limit Entertainment, aims to showcase major names in urban music while creating a new annual destination for the GTA. The event is expected to welcome up to 15,000 attendees during its inaugural run.

The first wave of announced artists includes Swae Lee, DaBaby, and Jamaican dancehall star Shenseea. Festival organizers say additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Fans can now register for presale access ahead of the official ticket launch. General ticket information and further lineup announcements will be released through the festival's official channels over the coming weeks.

The festival arrives as the GTA's summer concert season continues to expand, joining a growing calendar of major live music events across Toronto and the surrounding region.
