Woman seriously injured after being struck by vehicle in Etobicoke near East Mall

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at The East Mall and Burnhamthorpe Road just before 8 p.m. Friday and taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries.

A woman was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Etobicoke on Friday evening.

Toronto police responded to The East Mall and Burnhamthorpe Road just before 8 p.m. for reports of a pedestrian hit. Paramedics took an adult woman to a trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
