Man charged with second-degree murder in Don Mills shooting that killed Caledon resident

A 27-year-old Caledon resident has died from injuries sustained in a shooting near Lawrence Avenue East and Underhill Drive early on September 13. Raghav Sharma was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition after being shot shortly before 4:30 a.m., and was pronounced dead Thursday, September 17.

Tahir Mian, 23, of Stouffville, turned himself in to police on Saturday, September 19, and is facing a charge of second-degree murder. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sunday, September 20.

This marks Toronto's 25th homicide of 2026. The shooting involved two men in separate vehicles; police have not disclosed details of the circumstances leading to the incident or any relationship between Sharma and Mian.
