Toronto police are searching for suspects after a shooting at a commercial plaza in Etobicoke on Sunday, August 16 just after 5 p.m.

Investigators found a man suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene near Islington Avenue and Bergamot Avenue. He was taken to a trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The victim's age was not immediately available.

Police say the suspects fled before officers arrived. They were last seen wearing hoodies and ski masks.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Toronto police. This is the second serious shooting in Etobicoke in recent months — in July, a woman was fatally shot in the area, and in June, a man was seriously injured by a police bean-bag round at a Toronto hospital.
