Ontario's Finance Minister, Peter Bethlenfalvy, will table the 2026 Ontario Economic Outlook and Fiscal Review in the legislature on Thursday, October 29, at approximately 1:05 p.m., according to a government advisory issued Wednesday.
The advisory gives the speaker, date and time but no figures. It does not say whether the province expects a deficit or surplus this year, or how revenue, spending and debt compare with the 2025 Outlook. Nothing in the material available says whether last year's projections were revised, or by how much.
The 2026 Budget document, titled "A Plan to Protect Ontario," frames the province's position as one of economic and geopolitical uncertainty, trade tensions and supply chain pressures.
Bethlenfalvy will hold a media availability at about 1:45 p.m. at the Communications Centre in the Whitney Block. Accredited media can register by emailing Sarah Chapin in the minister's office. A technical briefing for background use begins at 11 a.m. at the same location. The release can be followed on the Government of Ontario YouTube channel, with English and French closed captioning.
