Police are searching for a woman wanted following a dog attack Saturday at the enclosed off-leash dog park near Avenue Road and Roxborough in Summerhill.
Two large dogs described as pit bulls or bull terriers — one dark grey with a white chest, the other dark grey — escaped the enclosure and charged at a person walking their dog nearby. The pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries; the dog was severely injured. Police have not confirmed the outcome of the dog's injuries.
Tanychia Black, 40, is wanted on charges of criminal negligence causing bodily harm, two counts of failing to prevent a dog from biting or attacking, and two counts of dog biting a person or domestic animal. Black was last seen wearing a navy-blue hair bonnet, mustard-coloured hoodie, light-coloured pants and dark shoes with white soles. She is described as five-feet-10 with a heavy build.
Police have previously sought Black in connection with a dog attack in Summerhill. Anyone with information is asked to contact Toronto police.
