Israel kills Hamas military leader in Gaza strike
Izz al-Din al-Haddad was one of the architects of October 7 attacks
Israel says it has killed Izz al-Din al-Haddad, leader of Hamas' military wing and one of the architects of the October 7, 2023 attacks that triggered the war in Gaza. Haddad was killed in a strike in Gaza City on Friday. He had assumed the role following the death of his predecessor, Mohammed Sinwar.
