Shark attack kills spearfisher off Australia's Rottnest Island

A 38-year-old man was fatally mauled by a shark while spearfishing off Rottnest Island near Australia's southwest coast on Saturday. The victim was bitten on the legs near a dive boat in a coral reef area and was taken one kilometer to the island where paramedics were unable to resuscitate him. Western Australia Police identified a five-meter white shark as responsible for the attack.
