Calgary-born pop singer Tate McRae has launched a fragrance called Tate 01, developed with Scent Beauty. It goes on sale in Canada exclusively through Sephora starting Oct. 30, and is available online at tatebytm.com.
McRae worked with Givaudan master perfumers Adriana Medina and Antoine Maisondieu. Scent Beauty said the scent was inspired by McRae's "effortless confidence and authentic style." It is designed to interact with individual skin chemistry and evolve through the day.
The fragrance is described as warm and woody, with bergamot and sage at the top and warm amber, creamy tonka bean, sandalwood and soft woods as it settles. McRae said in a statement: "In my beauty routine, fragrance is that final invisible layer that elevates my entire mood."
McRae has more than 29 billion career streams and several No. 1 Top 40 hits, and has won three consecutive Juno Artist of the Year awards.
