Sorella Trattoria, a Crescent Heights restaurant known for its fresh pasta and Italian small plates, has closed its doors after four years in operation.
The restaurant served its final service on Sunday, August 30. "To our loyal guests — thank you. Thank you for every meal, celebration, and memory you've shared with us. Your support and loyalty have meant more than words can express, and you've become part of the Sorella family," the team wrote in a statement on its website.
Opening in May 2022, Sorella quickly became popular for offering a fresh take on Italian cuisine grounded in family tradition. The restaurant occupied a key spot in Crescent Heights, a neighborhood that has seen significant dining evolution in recent years. Earlier this year, HighOnCity covered the broader shift as nine restaurants either closed or announced closures across Calgary, while Aurora Italiana revived Bridgeland's storied Italian restaurant space.
