Downtown Calgary has a new daytime spot for pastries and coffee. Bun & Brie opened recently at 811 1st St. SW, occupying the space directly above the speakeasy L'Après.

The café serves breakfast, lunch, and freshly baked pastries. The menu includes croissant sandwiches and crepes—like one stuffed with brie, pear, and honey. Coffee comes from Fratello Coffee Roasters, featured in the café's crafted beverages.

Bun & Brie is open Monday through Saturday. It's the kind of spot to grab a caffeine boost between meetings or linger over a pastry on a weekend morning.
