The Calgary Stampede kicks off its first full weekend with A$AP Rocky taking the stage Saturday at the Scotiabank Saddledome as part of the Stampede Concert Series.

Sunday marks Family Day, one of several special days at the grounds. Admission is free until 11 a.m., and a free pancake breakfast will be served in the GMC Stadium Courtyard from 8 to 10 a.m. (Breakfast requires tickets, which will be handed out upon admission while supplies last.)

Local country singer Alex Hughes makes her Coca-Cola Stage debut Sunday. On the grounds Saturday, Colin James performs at the Big Four Roadhouse at 9 p.m., while Calgary's Shy Friend and Sea of Lettuce perform on the Coca-Cola Stage starting at 12:30 p.m. Off the grounds, Modest Mouse rocks the Wildhorse Saloon Sunday with doors opening at 5 p.m.

The Stampede reported 32,024 visitors on Thursday for Sneak-a-Peek. Weather forecasts suggest the possibility of showers through the weekend—consider keeping rain gear close at hand.
