YYC Ice Cream Fest is back for its fifth year, running from July 17 to August 16, inviting Calgarians with a sweet tooth to try featured ice cream creations at participating cafés, restaurants, and ice cream shops across the city.
This year's offerings span a range of styles, including a horchata cold brew ice cream sandwich at Otie Bakehouse, lemon raspberry ice cream pie at Pie Junkie, and ice cream tacos from Lics Ice Cream Shop. Each time a featured treat is sold, $1 to $3 will go towards supporting Calgary Meals on Wheels.
Once you've sampled a few, you can rate the ice creams online. Participating eateries will compete for three titles: YYC's Best Scoop, the Golden Scoop Award, and Best Non-Dairy Scoop.
