Kim McConnell, an Okotoks entrepreneur and agricultural marketing pioneer, will receive Alberta's highest honour this fall when she is invested in the Alberta Order of Excellence.
McConnell is the founder of AdFarm, an agriculture-focused marketing and communications firm operating across Canada and the United States. Foothills MP John Barlow congratulated her on social media, writing that "Kim's leadership, innovation, and dedication to agriculture have left a lasting mark on Alberta."
McConnell is one of eight Albertans set to receive the order of excellence during a ceremony this fall in Edmonton. The province awards the honour to individuals whose leadership, innovation, and dedication have shaped Alberta's identity and strengthened its future.
Previous honours for McConnell include induction into the Canadian Agriculture Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Order of Canada in 2018.
