Motorcyclist killed in single-vehicle crash near Okotoks on Highway 549

A 42-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 549 West near 306 Avenue East on Saturday, July 4, at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Okotoks RCMP responded to the collision and pronounced the lone rider deceased at the scene. No other vehicles or persons were involved. As a result of the crash, traffic on the highway was diverted for approximately three hours and has since returned to normal.

Okotoks RCMP extended their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
