About 100 homes in southwest Calgary's Eagle Ridge and Heritage Park communities are still under a boil water advisory Monday after an unanticipated depressurization of a water main on 14 Street S.W. near 75 Avenue S.W. on Friday.
AHS ordered the City of Calgary to issue the advisory because the city cannot guarantee water quality in the affected area. Residents should boil water for one minute before using it for cooking, brushing teeth, cleaning raw foods, and preparing infant formula or juices.
Crew work on the water main is ongoing. The city has extended work days over the weekend with the goal of restoring southbound lanes on 14 Street S.W. between 75 Avenue S.W. and Heritage Drive S.W. as soon as possible. No timeline for when repairs will be complete or lanes will reopen has been provided.
The water main problem is unrelated to the Bearspaw South Feeder Main project elsewhere in the city.
