Man charged in $255,000 industrial theft at SE Calgary manufacturing plant

Calgary police have charged a man following the theft of industrial equipment and copper wire valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars in southeast Calgary.
Three people broke into Crypto Therm Manufacturing Inc. in the Foothills Industrial area on November 4, 2025. The suspects left before officers arrived.
Overthe following months, investigators used DNA evidence to identify one of the suspects. Police arrested Tyler John Ferris, 54, in the community of Ogden on June 10. Ferris is charged with break and enter to commit an offence and is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
