Calgary police seek suspect in downtown assault that left three men with serious injuries

Calgary police are asking for help identifying a suspect after a late-night confrontation downtown left three men injured, two of them seriously.
Officers were called to Stephen Avenue and 2 Street SW around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 14, following reports of an assault. Investigators say three men were waiting for transportation when they noticed a man and woman arguing. One of the men approached the woman to check on her well-being, at which point the man she was arguing with suddenly attacked all three bystanders.
After the assault, the suspect ran north on 2 Street SW. The woman left separately with a group of other women.
Two of the three victims required medical treatment for serious injuries, while the third sustained minor injuries. Police have obtained security footage and are asking the public to help identify the suspect, noting that distinctive clothing visible in released photos may aid in identification.
