A man is in critical condition after an assault with a weapon in northwest Calgary early Thursday morning, July 2.
Calgary police were called to the area of 20 Avenue NW and 13 Street around 4:55 a.m. for reports of an assault involving a weapon. Officers arrived to find the man with serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
One person was taken into custody. Police said there is no ongoing risk to public safety. The investigation is ongoing.
