Red Line closed Friday and Saturday for maintenance work
CTrain service from Chinook to City Hall will be offline June 6–7. Shuttle buses will replace rail service on affected segments.
Calgary Transit will close the Red Line from Chinook Station to City Hall/Bow Valley College on Friday, June 6, and Saturday, June 7, for scheduled maintenance work.
Shuttle bus service will replace rail service on the affected corridor during the closure. Riders should check the Calgary Transit website for shuttle stop locations and real-time service updates.
For those who prefer to avoid the shuttle service, the Transit app and Calgary Transit website allow riders to plan trips using only bus service by deselecting the CTrain option. Downtown, shuttle buses typically operate on 6th Avenue heading west and 9th Avenue heading east.
Calgary Transit advises riders to check station platforms and information screens for updates, or follow the transit authority's social media accounts for announcements if the closure is extended or issues arise.
