A 19-year-old man was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition after a targeted shooting Thursday, September 10 around 10 p.m. in the 100 block of Carrington Boulevard N.W.
Police responded to multiple reports of gunfire involving at least two vehicles. One vehicle came to stop near 144 Avenue N.W. and Carrington Boulevard N.W., and witnesses reported suspects fled in an unknown vehicle. No suspects were in custody as of Friday morning.
Calgary Police Service said the shooting was believed to be targeted. "Targeted does not mean harmless and these incidents can and do put innocent people at risk," the service stated in a release.
