Calgary police are asking for help identifying a suspect in a seemingly random attack at a Tim Hortons near Sunridge Mall last week.

Police say they were called to the restaurant around 8:30 a.m. on June 23 for reports of an assault. A man was using the washroom when another man came in and attacked him without any clear reason. The victim suffered injuries to his head.

The suspect left the washroom immediately and ran out of the restaurant, getting into a white vehicle before driving off.

Investigators have not been able to identify him and are asking the public for help. The suspect is described as a man in his 30s, about 5'5" tall, with a moustache. He was wearing glasses, a blue top, and a high-visibility construction vest at the time of the assault.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 403-266-1234. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
