Three people are in custody and another is still on the loose after multiple break-ins in the Evergreen area on Wednesday evening, June 17.
The break-ins happened just after 10 p.m. when investigators allege a vehicle with several suspects drove through Evergreen before dropping them off at homes they then entered and stole from. Shortly after, officers stopped a vehicle with three suspects, including the driver. While three were taken into custody, one was rushed to the hospital for an "unrelated" issue before being apprehended. Another fled and remains outstanding.
Police are looking for a 2015 Toyota RAV4 with tinted windows, a chrome roof rack, and a dent above the rear driver's side wheel that was involved in the break-ins. A blue recyclable bag is believed to be somewhere in the area on a map provided by investigators; police ask anyone who finds it not to touch it but to report it instead.
Officers are asking anyone who lives in the affected area, has seen stolen property, or has home security footage, doorbell-camera recordings, or dashcam footage from between 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, to contact Calgary police at 403-266-1234. Anonymous tips can be left through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
