Shooby's Gelato, a family-owned gelato maker with roots stretching back 40 years, has opened its first brick-and-mortar location at 4513 101st Street NW after building a following through Edmonton markets.

The shop launched June 5 and is already drawing summer crowds. "Nonno started making gelato the way his mother taught him: real fruit, slow churn, and the kind of patience that only comes from doing it for fifty years," the team says. "We didn't want to reinvent that. We just wanted to bring it across the ocean."

Every small-batch gelato and sorbet is made in-house using authentic ingredients — double-processed cacao, nut pastes from Italy, and fresh fruits. The team's philosophy: "If it sells out, it sells out."

Flavour options include classics like strawberry, vanilla, and lemon alongside offerings like tiramisu and dulce de leche. Hours are Friday 3–10 p.m., Saturday 2–10 p.m., and Sunday 2–9 p.m. — weekends only.
