Leduc's community groups host recurring programs from art to food to fitness

Leduc residents have dozens of recurring community activities to choose from each week, many free or low-cost, spanning arts, wellness, fitness, social support and local commerce.
The Leduc Arts Foundry, located at the Leduc Recreation Center and two satellite galleries, offers pottery classes and workshops for all ages and skill levels at its pottery studio (44815–50th Avenue). Membership is available. The foundry also hosts Thad's M.I.L.L. (Musical Instrument Lending Library) and Artful Expressions (Open Mic Night). The Leduc Art Club facilitates free community drop-in sessions every Tuesday and hosts annual art shows, exhibitions and classes.
Fitness and wellness options include drop-in adult recreational volleyball on Tuesday nights from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. at Christ the King High School (contact Jenny at 825-512-5936). The Leduc & District Senior Centre (Telford House, 4907–46 Street) runs programs including cards, floor curling, exercises, yoga, guitar, knitting, painting, and Thursday coffee from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Office hours are 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (780-986-6160).
Support groups include Grief Recovery Method Group Program (8-week structured program, $25 book and materials fee; contact Brian at 403-331-9078), Divorce/Separation Care (Tuesdays, text 403-464-3555 or email divorcecare@daystarchurch.ca), and Alcoholics Anonymous (780-980-8100 or toll-free 1-877-404-8100).
The Leduc Public Market operates every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Leduc City Center Mall. Contact Tammy at 780-803-6832 for vendor inquiries.
