Loxley Commons project on private property targets Winter 2028/29 opening, part of broader Centre in the Park development.

A new residential community called Loxley Commons is being proposed near Sherwood Park Mall, bringing 248 purpose-built rental homes across six storeys to the suburb just east of Edmonton.

Strathcona County received the development permit application on November 26, 2025. The building would include underground parking and surface lots to accommodate residents.

The project is part of Centre in the Park, a larger community development that includes Broadmoor Lake, Festival Place, the Community Centre, County Hall, and Sherwood Park Mall. The anticipated opening date is Winter 2028/29.

It's shaping up to be a busy stretch for the region. A massive $240-million rail terminal is also in the works, alongside a $570-million plant project.
