Northeast Edmonton transit riders will need to switch to shuttle buses Friday, August 7, through Sunday, August 9, as the Capital Line shuts down between Churchill and Clareview stations for electrical work.
The City of Edmonton is installing overhead electrical lines north of 115 Avenue during the closure. LRT replacement buses will run between the two stations for the entire duration. On August 7, buses depart every 7 to 8 minutes starting at 8 p.m. On August 8, service runs every 7 to 8 minutes from the start of service until 7 p.m., then every 10 minutes until closing. On August 9, buses continue every 7 to 8 minutes until 10 a.m.
The Valley Line southeast trains will not be affected. During the Capital Line closure, Metro line trains will extend to Century Park Station instead of turning around at Health Sciences/Jubilee Station. Riders can find replacement bus stop locations on the City of Edmonton website.
