Edmonton Transit will close portions of the Capital Line LRT from Friday, Aug. 22, through Sunday, Aug. 24, to accommodate track work north of 115 Avenue.

On Friday and Saturday, Aug. 22–23, there will be no LRT service between Churchill and Clareview Stations. Replacement buses will run between those stations every seven minutes until 7 p.m., then shift to every 10 minutes for the remainder of service.

On Sunday, Aug. 24, the closure moves south: no LRT service between Coliseum and Stadium Stations all day. Replacement buses will follow the same schedule — seven-minute intervals until 7 p.m., then 10-minute intervals after.

Edmonton Transit has posted the locations of all replacement bus stops online, allowing riders to plan alternate routes. The three-day closure is part of ongoing Capital Line maintenance and infrastructure upgrades as the city continues track work that began earlier this summer.
