The fourth annual PlazaPalooza mini-festival is coming to Plaza St-Hubert from July 9 to 12, turning the 1.2-kilometre stretch between Bellechasse and Jean-Talon into a free street fair.
Live bands DVTR, Alix Fernz, and Annie-Claude Deschênes will anchor the music lineup. A massive sidewalk sale will run the length of the plaza, with hip-hop DJs, a Latin music collective, dance battles, family entertainment, a bike-repair workshop, game zones, and face-painting filling out the four days.
Plaza St-Hubert has transformed over recent years into a key Montreal destination, housing over 400 businesses—restaurants, bars, shops—and marking its 45th anniversary this year. Recent renovations have made the area more accessible and convenient.
SDC Plaza St-Hubert Executive Director Mike Parente said the timing is perfect: "On the occasion of Plaza St‐Hubert's 45th anniversary, there's no better time to explore every corner and discover an eclectic mix of merchants who not only offer something for every need, but who are deeply committed to giving every visitor a great experience."
This is the ideal weekend to discover or rediscover the east-side corridor, catch live music under summer sky, and fill your shopping bag without dropping cash on overpriced mall brands.
