Longueuil police received a 911 call around 10 a.m. reporting the incident at the daycare on Boulevard de Rome. A woman in her 60s accidentally accelerated her vehicle, causing it to veer into the building. Officers found damaged windows but confirmed no injuries.
The driver was described as being in a state of shock following the collision. The building was evacuated while authorities confirmed it was safe for people to re-enter. Children waited in a bus while parents were contacted to pick them up.
