Dunkin' is actively scouting real estate in three North Shore communities as part of a major Quebec expansion, according to social media posts from Foodtastic, the franchise holder managing the chain's Canadian comeback.
On July 8, Éric Champoux, vice-president of marketing and brand chief at Foodtastic, announced the company is hunting for sites in Terrebonne, Mascouche, and Repentigny — all in the Lanaudière region. The search follows earlier confirmations that Dunkin' will open locations in the Montreal and Toronto areas by late 2026 or early 2027.
Foodtastic is prioritizing drive-thru-capable sites, signalling the chain's intent to replicate its U.S. model where drive-thru service is central to operations. The company is seeking units between 500 and 1,500 square feet with street-facing frontage or busy corners in dense suburban areas with high foot and vehicle traffic.
The real estate hunt is being managed by the Orlando Biscotti team at M Immobilier, Foodtastic's exclusive real estate partner. Over 100 proposals are already under review from property owners and brokers across the province.
Foodtastic CEO Peter Mammas said the company aims to open roughly 200 Dunkin' cafés in Quebec and hopes to hit a pace of one opening per week within 12 months — a massive jump from the roughly 100 locations initially floated for the entire country when the comeback was announced in May.
No confirmed addresses have been announced yet, but the aggressive timeline suggests storefronts could begin appearing across the North Shore within months.
