A Montreal police cruiser and firetruck collided while responding to a fire in Sainte-Marie late Tuesday night, leaving two officers hospitalized as a precaution.
The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ontario and Frontenac streets. Both emergency vehicles were heading to the scene of the blaze with sirens activated when the collision happened.
Two police officers were taken to hospital for precautionary evaluation. No firefighters were injured. The extent of damage to the vehicles remains unknown as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
