Montreal police are investigating allegations that sexual acts were committed against a young girl attending a day camp in Ahuntsic–Cartierville last month.
The suspect is a minor who worked as a staff member at Loisirs Sophie-Barat, police said. The SPVM's sexual assault section confirmed the suspect has been interviewed and investigators are "continuing to gather and analyze new information to further the investigation." Police have not disclosed the ages of either the victim or the suspect.
The day camp administration sent a letter to parents encouraging them to contact the facility with any questions or concerns. "We understand that this news may cause concern for the parents of children enrolled at this day camp," police stated.
