Quebec's agriculture ministry issued a recall Tuesday for smoked ham potentially contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The product is jambon cuit fumé reg (smoked cooked ham) in variable format, sold refrigerated in vacuum-packed clear plastic bags. The specific lot affected is 100926JCFR with a best-before date of October 26, 2026. The UPC is 6 46437 75444 6.

Boucherie Viau inc., located at 83 chemin de Covey Hill in Hemmingford, produced the product. It was sold at multiple establishments throughout Montreal and the Montérégie region.

Pregnant women, unborn children, elderly persons, young children, and immunocompromised individuals face higher risk.

Anyone who consumed this product and is experiencing symptoms should consult a health-care professional. As of Tuesday, the ministry had received no reports of illness linked to the product.
