Brendan Gallagher will receive an honorary citizen title from the City of Montreal as his time with the Montreal Canadiens comes to an end.

The 34-year-old Alberta native will join Mayor Soraya Martinez Ferrada at a ceremony Thursday, June 25, in the Hall of Honour at Montreal City Hall. Over 14 seasons with Montreal, Gallagher has played 911 games, recording 246 goals and 241 assists for 487 points.

After seeing limited action during the Canadiens' recent playoff run, Gallagher hinted during the team's season review that his career with the Canadiens was coming to a close. The popular No. 11 has been the subject of trade speculation and could be moved during the offseason.
