Canadians isolating in B.C. test positive for hantavirus

One person from Yukon develops mild symptoms after cruise ship outbreak

One of four Canadians isolating in British Columbia from a cruise ship hantavirus outbreak has tested presumptively positive. The person from the Yukon developed mild symptoms including fever and headache on Thursday. Samples have been sent to a national microbiology lab in Winnipeg for confirmation. Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says protocols were followed during isolation.
