Multiple gunshots were fired at a residence and vehicle in Dollard-des-Ormeaux late Friday night around 11 p.m. on Lido Street near Pheasant Street. Residents were awakened by the shots and called 911.
When police arrived, they found no victims or suspects at the scene. Shell casings were located on the ground, and bullet holes were found on both the residence and a vehicle in the driveway. "A perimeter was established to secure the scene for investigators and forensic technicians so they could analyze it and try to understand the exact circumstances of this event," said Officer Caroline Chèvrefils, Montreal Police Service (SPVM) spokesperson.
Witnesses were interviewed overnight. Police planned to check Saturday whether nearby surveillance cameras had captured footage of the incident. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and no arrests had been made at the time of reporting. The SPVM investigation is ongoing.
