Highway 25 toward Montreal, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, closed overnight Thursday, June 17 after a heavy truck damaged the lane lights earlier that morning.

The closure started at 10 p.m. Thursday and reopened at 5 a.m. Friday, June 18. During that window, Highway 25 between exit 90 (Highway 20 West, Route 132, La Prairie, USA, Varennes, and P.-E.-Trudeau airport) and the entrance from Notre-Dame Street East was completely blocked.

Transport Quebec advised drivers to check Quebec 511 for real-time road conditions before heading out.
