Major highway closures across the Montreal region this weekend will require drivers to plan alternate routes. From August 23 at 11 p.m. through August 26 at 5 a.m., the Turcot interchange and Samuel-De Champlain Bridge will be completely closed.
The closure affects traffic between the A-15 south (Décarie) exiting the Turcot interchange in Montreal and access from Route 132 toward the A-10 east in Brossard, including the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge. Motorists should use the Jacques-Cartier Bridge as a primary detour, accessing it via Boulevard Angrignon, R-136 east to exit 7, then R-134, Avenue Papineau, Avenue De Lorimier and the Jacques-Cartier Bridge itself.
Additional partial closures and lane restrictions will affect the A-15 south, A-20 east, A-10 east (Bonaventure), and access points from Boulevard de l'Île-des-Sœurs and Boulevard René-Lévesque. The Victoria Bridge will also have restrictions: the eastbound travaux section will close August 26 through Thursday, September 10, with traffic using a single westbound lane.
Mobilité Montréal urges drivers to plan departures in advance and monitor traffic conditions throughout the weekend.
