Man killed in suspected hit-and-run on Taschereau Boulevard in Longueuil

A man in his 20s was killed early Friday morning in what Longueuil police say was a hit-and-run. The incident occurred around 4:50 a.m. on Taschereau Boulevard in Longueuil's LeMoyne sector. Few details were available, and police said "the circumstances surrounding this event remain to be clarified." A crime scene perimeter was set up and the public was asked to avoid the area. Traffic on Taschereau Boulevard toward Brossard is down to one lane starting at Curé-Guay Street. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact police.
