Montrealers can look forward to a summer-like stretch through mid-week, with sunshine and steadily climbing temperatures expected through much of the week.

Tuesday will be mainly sunny with a high of 25 Celsius, followed by a cool overnight low of 12°C. The warm-up continues Wednesday as temperatures reach 28°C, with a humidex value near 29°C making it feel even warmer. UV levels will remain very high, prompting officials to recommend sun protection during peak afternoon hours.

Thursday and Friday are expected to bring a mix of sun and cloud, with daytime highs of 28°C and 29°C respectively. Conditions will remain pleasant for outdoor activities, although clouds will begin increasing late Friday as showers move into the region.

The weather pattern shifts for the weekend, with Saturday forecast to be cloudy and carrying a 70 per cent chance of showers. Temperatures will ease slightly to a high of 24°C. Cloudy conditions and scattered showers may persist into Saturday night and parts of Sunday.

By Monday, sunshine is expected to return, with temperatures rebounding to around 28°C. Meteorologists also remind residents that UV levels will remain elevated throughout the week, making sunscreen, hats and hydration important for anyone spending extended periods outdoors.
